1 hr 5 min

Ingredients:

250ml broccoli, cut into small florets
1 onion
1/2 red pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
450g sirloin steaks
250ml orange sauce
80ml cornstarch
45ml canola oil
2 green onions, chopped (optional)
30ml orange zest (optional)

Method:

1. Blanch the broccoli for two minutes in a pot of boiling salted water. Drain and rinse with cold water.

2. Chop the onion and cut the bell peppers into cubes.

3. Slice the steaks into strips, about 0.5cm thick. Coat the beef strips with the cornstarch.

4. Heat the oil in a frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Cook the beef strips for one to two minutes on each side, until they are golden-brown and crispy. Set aside on a plate. Remove the excess oil from the pan.

5. Add the onion and peppers to the same pan, and cook for two minutes.

6. Add in the broccoli and continue cooking for one minute.

7. Pour in the orange sauce and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and add the beef. Divide onto plates immediately.

8. If desired, sprinkle with green onion and orange zest before serving.
