Honey Chilli Potato

Ingredients:

For frying potatoes:

2 potatoes, sliced
5 tablespoons corn flour
1 1/2 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons chilli powder

For the honey chilli sauce:

1 1/2 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon ginger
2 whole red chillies, chopped
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
2 teaspoons tomato sauce
2 teaspoons chilli sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons sesame seeds, roasted
2 spring onion bulbs

Method:

1. Cut the potatoes into slices, and place them in a bowl.

2. In the same bowl, add the corn flour, salt and chilli powder. Toss them well so that the mixture coats the potato slices.

3. In a broad pan, deep fry the potatoes on medium flame until they are golden brown and crisp.

4. In another pan, dry roast the sesame seeds on low heat until they are light brown.

5. For the honey chilli sauce, start by adding the garlic, ginger, red chillies, chilli flakes and tomato sauce in the pan. Stir them well.

6. Add the chilli sauce, vinegar, honey and salt to the pan. Mix all the ingredients together until it becomes saucy.

7. Add the fried potatoes to the pan. Coat them well with the sauce.

8. After a light toss, sprinkle the sauce over the roasted sesame seeds and spring onions.

9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
